Plush Arm before and After

Description

This is meant to be a reference for plush artists, on how your dolls will look once they have been turned out and stuffed.
I will be moving this into scraps soon.

As you can see, the unfinished arm is considerably larger, but shrinks down to the right shape and size once it has been completed.

The top is flat because this arm is meant to be sewn into the body seam, instead of attaching from the side. If you want to attach it from the side, the top should be rounded.
I left a gap in the arm so that it will fit securely into the body when I sew it in. Arms like this tend to stick out, as if the plush is gesturing.

To further complete the arm, you can take thread of a similar color, and make small stitches from the tip of the hand up to about where the thumb begins. be sure to pass through the stuffing and bottom, and knot well on the underside of the hand, where it is less visible.
This will create the fingers.
